How is Covid-19 Affecting Real Estate?

In Grey and Bruce counties, we have been lucky to weather Covid-19 relatively well but it continues to impact our daily  lives and business practices.  We have received many inquiries from buyers and sellers who are unsure of how to proceed with their real estate plans, given the current (and possible future) lockdown. We hope the following information will help to clarify how Covid-19 is affecting the business of real estate. As per the previous lock-down earlier this year, real estate is considered an essential service and day-to-day business will continue to be permitted under the "lockdown" regulations with some…

Shovelling? S’now Problem!

Now that you've made the move to the snow belt, or you're at least seriously considering it - why else would you be looking at a website that focuses on properties in beautiful Grey County? - there are a few things that will require a reality check.  First among them at this time of year is snow.  While the notion of living close to ski resorts smack dab in the middle of the snow belt sounds romantic and a thick layer of fluffy, white snow makes everything look pretty, the reality is that regular snow falls do come with a…

Shop Local This Christmas…And Whenever Possible!

There's no doubt about it, Covid-19 is having an impact on the 2020 Christmas season.  Many families in larger centres and small towns are planning for smaller-scaled holiday celebrations this year, both due to economic constraints and in an effort to adhere to safety measures and restrictions as outlined by our government.  One of the bright spots to have emerged from these trying times is a renewed emphasis on the idea of shopping at local neighbourhood stores out of a need to stay close to home and an honest desire to help local small businesses stay afloat as they struggle…
