The May long weekend has come and gone, which means that many of our local farmers’ markets are now up and running for the season! Whether you’re looking for fresh, locally grown produce, baked goods, handmade artwork or crafts – there’s something for everyone at the farmers’ market! Markets are also a great opportunity to learn about the area by connecting with vendors who live and work locally. Owen Sound Farmers’ Market
The Owen Sound Farmers’ Market is open year-round and runs every Saturday morning from 8:00 am to 12:30 pm. The market takes place at 88 8th St E, next to Owen Sound City Hall. During the winter, the market happens indoors, but there are vendors set up outside through the spring, summer and fall. Check out the Owen Sound Farmers’ Market for a selection of fresh flowers, produce, fresh meat and fish, arts and crafts, live music, and more!

Keady Market
The Keady Market opens for the season in early May each year. The market is located south of Owen Sound at the intersection of Grey Road 3 and Grey County Road 16 and runs every Tuesday from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm. Keady Market features more than 250 vendors selling everything from home baking, crafts, produce, deli meats, antiques, and more! When you stop by to visit the market, don’t forget to stop in the barns to check out the livestock auctions, starting at 9:00 am.

Flesherton and District Farmers’ Market
The Flesherton and District Farmers’ Market opened for the season on Saturday May 18th, 2024. The market takes place at 101 Highland Drive, Flesherton (under the pavilion outside the Flesherton Arena), and runs every Saturday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Since its beginning in 1990, the Flesherton and District Market has been a great place to connect with local vendors and check out a selection of fresh produce, baked goodies, locally-raised meat, and artisanal goods.

Thornbury Farmers’ Market
The Thornbury Farmers’ Market opened for the season on May 19th, 2024. The market runs from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, and is located at Smith Memorial Park on Highway 26, next to Town Hall. The Thornbury Market features more than 25 vendors offering a variety of products from fresh produce and homemade baked goods to all-natural beauty products, local art, and home decor.

Meaford Farmers’ Market
The Meaford Farmers’ Market opens for the season on June 7th, 2024. The market runs on Fridays from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm and takes place at the Meaford Rotary Harbour Pavilion. Popular locally sourced items at the Meaford Market include maple syrup and honey and in-season fruits and veggies. Don’t forget the locally-raised meats, baked goods, handmade goods and more!

The Hanover Eat Well Market opens for the season on Saturday June 8th, 2024. The market runs from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm and is located at Hanover Pavilion Park. The Market Shoppe at Rocklands Market opens this year on Sunday June 30th and runs until Sunday August 4th. The market is open from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, and is located at 580364 Sideroad 60, outside of Berkley. Enjoy lots of local food and drinks, hand crafted items, live music, a variety of workshops, and wellness vendors.
