2024 Santa Claus Parades in Grey County
Saturday November 16th
Owen Sound Kiwanis Santa Claus Parade – 5pm
The parade begins at 5pm and will proceed south along 2nd Avenue East to 8th Street East and then east to 3rd Avenue East. This year’s theme is “A Musical Christmas – Songs of the Season”. Bring your letters to Santa, Canada Post will be collecting them along the route. Little ones can visit with Santa after the parade at the Owen Sound Farmers’ Market and everyone is welcome to stick around for the official opening of the Festival of Northern Lights at 7:00pm.

Friday November 29th
Markdale’s Old Fashioned Christmas Parade – 6:30pm
Experience an enchanting evening in Markdale as we celebrate the holiday season and Markdale’s 175th Jubilee with an “Old Fashioned Christmas” Santa Claus Parade followed by the town’s Tree Lighting Ceremony! Main Street comes alive with festive lights, holiday music, and an array of floats that bring to life timeless holiday traditions.

Durham Firefighters’ Santa Claus Parade – 12:30pm
Join the Durham Firefighters for a fun and exciting parade and then stop by the Durham Fire Hall afterward to meet Santa! To register a float, contact durhamfirefighters@gmail.com. Keep an eye on social media for parade updates.

Town of Hanover Santa Claus Parade – 7pm
The Hanover Rotary Club presents an “Olde Fashioned Christmas”. Watch the parade from anywhere along 10th Street, visit Santa’s Grotto to enjoy a horse and wagon ride and Christmas Market at Heritage Square from 12:00pm – 2:00pm.

Meaford Kinsmen Club Santa Claus Parade – 5:15pm
The Kinsmen Club of Meaford is excited to invite everyone to their annual Santa Claus Parade! Entry forms are available by emailing meafordkinsmen@gmail.com if you’d like to enter a float in the parade. Forms must be submitted by November 29th.

Kemble & District Lions Non-Motorized Christmas Parade – 2pm
Make this non-motorized parade a family tradition by joining Santa at the arena for hot dogs and a goodies after the parade. Please bring non-perishable food items for the Food Bank.

The parade makes its way through the village of Neustadt followed by a community tree lighting. See you there!

Holstein Non-Motorized Santa Claus Parade – 1pm
This popular parade will start at The Holstein Depot and make it’s way to Egremont Community School. Enjoy a meet and greet with Santa after the parade at the Egremont Optimist building, beside the school.

Chatsworth Santa Claus Parade – 10:30am
The Chatsworth Agricultural Society invites you to join them for the Santa Claus parade starting at 10:30am. This years’ theme is “Christmas in the Village”. Watch social media for updates.
