As many of us are beginning to get our gardens ready for another lovely summer, seasonal nurseries and garden centres are popping up across Grey County. But before you visit them, why not consider supporting an amazing program offered by Grey Highlands Secondary School and picking up your plants at the annual GHSS Plant Sale?
Available plants include proven winners, seed-grown plants and root divided perennials grown and cultivated by students in the Specialist High Skills Major in Horticulture and Landscaping program this semester. BYOP: Bring Your Own Planter, choose the plants and colours you like and students will create planters for you or choose from a variety of ready-made containers.
The Greenhouse is currently open Monday through Friday from 9am – 3pm.
Grey Highlands Secondary School is located at 100 Toronto Road in Flesherton (on Highway 10 directly across from the Flesherton arena).
The greenhouse can be accessed at the south end of the school and office staff can be reached at 519-924-2721 if required.
