Wander the River District to enjoy extra hours for holiday shopping, buskers, contests, warming stations, giveaways, picture with Santa and more! Watch the Kiwanis Santa Claus Parade at 5:00pm and then stay for the kickoff of the Festival of Northern Lights at 7:00pm!

Owen Sound Festival of Northern Lights
Enjoy the charm of Owen Sound during the holiday season every evening from 5 – 10pm, as nearly 400 displays and over 25kms of lights illuminate the harbour, the banks of the Sydenham River, the downtown core, and Harrison Park.

Christmas on the Bay, Meaford
Enjoy a traditional outdoor European-style Christmas Market – with a twist – at Christmas On The Bay. In the spirit of the best outdoor Christmas markets, Christmas On the Bay provides all the festive sights, sounds, smells, experiences, and ambiance you would expect. It’ll absolutely put you in the festive spirit! Make your way through the kiosks to browse through the wares of Meaford and South Georgian Bay’s finest artisans where you’ll find an inspiring selection of locally produced and crafted goods, food and beverages, and gifts just in time for Christmas.

Find the Christmas Spirit at the Christkindl Market presented by Symphony in the Barn, the Friends of Glencolton Farm and Saugeen Academy. You’ll also enjoy meeting various barnyard animals, fun children’s activities and wonderful seasonal entertainment.

Moreston by Candlelight at Grey Roots
Celebrate the magic of Christmas Past at a unique, family-friendly event. Festivities held at Grey Roots will include horse drawn wagon rides, live music, yummy hot apple cider and holiday treats, and the opportunity to explore the heritage buildings in Moreston Village.
