Support a Grey County Food Bank

Originally posted by greycountyhomes.com on December 3, 2022. New links for 20024.

It’s that time of year again – many of us are starting to think about Christmas and preparations are well under way. Some local residents are starting to think about other things. How will they afford both gifts for their family members and enough food to feed everyone? Especially in recent years, the demand at food banks has risen to levels that should have us all concerned. Christmas is the perfect time of year for each of us to recognize this growing need within our communities and to do what we can to make sure that need is met. Why not let the Christmas spirit inspire you to make a difference in your community?  Please consider supporting a local food bank this Christmas by making a donation – or getting involved in another capacity – with one or more of these amazing programs!

School Nutrition Programs

Each of our local schools run Nutrition Programs that can always use some help too.  Volunteers provide fresh, healthy food to every student every day so that children who are truly in need won’t be singled out.  If you are able to donate food or kitchen items, make a financial contribution or volunteer your time in the kitchen (which is often the thing these programs need the most), please contact a school near you.
