The Markdale Good Food Box is Back!

From The Blog

30 March 2021

Unfortunately, due to the latest Covid shutdown the start date for the Markdale Good Food Box has been postponed.

Stay tuned for updates!

Visiting the grocery store less often due to Covid?
Growing kids eating you out of house and home?
Interested in keeping your fridge stocked with healthy food options?

The Good Food Box could be right for you!

The Good Food Box is a collective buying program that provides a grocery bin of fresh seasonal fruits and vegetables at an affordable price and with a local pick up location!  Produce for this program is purchased in bulk at wholesale prices and the savings are passed on to participants – just $20 gets you a box full of fresh, healthy food.
Like many initiatives, the Markdale Good Food Box program was forced to halt operation last year due to Covid-19 but they’re ready to resume operation on April 27th with a pickup scheduled for 11-2 PM in The Well at South East Grey Community Health Centre (55 Victoria Avenue, Markdale).  Covid protocols are in place so please be sure to enter through the glass doors at the lower level entrance located at the corner of Victoria Avenue and Queen Street.

To place your order, contact Connie Shaw via phone, text or email:

ALL ORDERS MUST BE PLACED AND PAID IN FULL NO LATER THAN APRIL 20, 2021.
If you have not confirmed your order and paid for it by April 20, 2021 there will not be a box for you on pickup day.
Markdale Good Food Box volunteers will respect and adhere to all Public Health regulations in place on pickup day and will do everything possible to maintain best practices to ensure a safe pickup process.  The Markdale Good Food Box volunteer team thanks you for your patience and understanding during these challenging times.
