The Markdale Good Food Box is Back

Visiting the grocery store less often due to Covid?

Growing kids eating you out of house and home?

Interested in keeping your fridge stocked with healthy food options?

The Good Food Box could be right for you!

The Good Food Box is a collective buying program that provides a grocery bin of fresh seasonal fruits and vegetables at an affordable price and with a local pick up location!  Produce for this program is purchased in bulk at wholesale prices and the savings are passed on to participants – just $20 gets you a box full of fresh, healthy food.

Like many initiatives, the Markdale Good Food Box program was forced to halt operation last year due to Covid-19 but they’re ready to resume operations! Pick ups are scheduled for the 4th Tuesday of each month from 11am – 2 pm in The Well at South East Grey Community Health Centre (55 Victoria Avenue, Markdale).  Covid protocols are in place so please be sure to enter through the glass doors at the lower level entrance located at the corner of Victoria Avenue and Queen Street.

Masks must be worn during pick ups and out of concern for YOU as well as our volunteers, we are  asking that you do not participate in the program until you are fully vaccinated. We will make every effort to maintain the Covid protocols that we are all now used to and feel we can count on you to do the same.
